This erstwhile summer palace of the Kasmanda Royal Family has been converted into a boutique hotel and is being managed by the royal family. It is beautifully maintained with 3 acres of gardens; the rooms have been decorated with pictures of tiger hunts and old lithographs. The palace is a gleaming white picture book residence, built in the Anglo-French style. Kasmanda Palace Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in Mussoorie. It was originally part of the Christ Church complex, which was built in 1836 by captain Rennie Tailor of the Bengal Engineers.
